The Ministry of Telecoms and Mass Communications of Russia has published the list of essential public television channels to be distributed free of charge to view, in accordance with the federal law On Amendments to the Federal Law 'On Mass Media' and the Federal Law 'On Communications'.
The channels are Channel One, Russia (Russia-1), Russia-2 (after November 1, 2015 — Match TV), NTV, Petersburg — Channel 5, Russia-Culture (Russian-K), Russia-24, Children and Youth Channel Carousel, Public Russian Television, TV-Centre — Moscow, REN-TV, SPAS, STS, Domashniy, TV3, Sport Plus, Zvezda, Mir, Muz-TV, TNT.
