Russia's low-cost Pobeda Airlines will not be flying between Yerevan and Russia's Rostov-on-Don due to the high fee of passenger service that is charged at Zvartnots International Airport.
“The airline preferred the Shirak Airport in Gyumri. Naturally, the tariffs of Zvartnots Airport are not suitable for budget airlines; this is accepted throughout the world. It’s a normal phenomenon that budget airlines conduct flights from non-standard airports,” News.am cited a GDCA spokesperson as saying.
