President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko has urged the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) to start solving the serious problems of the post-Soviet area, including the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
“The CIS must discuss serious problems of the post-Soviet area and to encourage those on whom the solution of those problems depends. Otherwise, we will be moving towards the decay of our cooperation,” BelTA cited him as saying.
Lukashenko also noted that the agenda of the meeting is made up of statements and suggestions. “It makes no sense to blame today Kazakhstan or Russia or Belarus for the CIS being inefficient,” he said.
“It seems that we wait for the Americans, the European Union or anyone else to come and tell us how to resolve this problem or to resolve it instead of us," he stressed.
