Russian Lukoil has signed a contract on two exploration projects in Iran.
"Iran has signed a deal with Russia’s Lukoil over two exploration projects in the country’s southwestern oil-rich Khouzestan province," Press TV cited the director for exploration affairs of the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC), Hormoz Qalavand, as saying.
He clarified that the exploration will take place in Dasht-e Abadan in Khouzestab and in the northern parts of the Persian Gulf. Qalavand also added that the value of the contract is about $6 million.
In addition, he noted that Lukoil has already started the work over the projects, TASS reports.
