The European Championship in Baku has the benefit of clear timetable and comfortable conditions for gymnasts, the Polish gymnast Magdalena Switalska said, speaking with Vestnik Kavkaza after performing in the trampoline qualification on the sidelines of the European Championships in Trampoline, Tumbling and Double Mini-Trampoline.
"The organization in Baku is very good. At other competitions, whether World Cups or European Championships, we do not have a place to do a little workout before entering the arena, but Baku has such a place, and it is very convenient to perform after a workout. In addition, all competitions are right on schedule, without any delay," she explained.
In addition, the Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation provides gymnasts the best conditions for living. "We live in the Marriott hotel. It's the most beautiful hotel I've ever stayed in," Magdalena Switalska admitted.
In addition to the excellent conditions of the tournament, the Polish gymnast thanked the organizers for the colorful opening ceremony. "The ceremony was just great, I really liked the dances and the show. The athletes were happy to see the performance and distract from competition stress," the gymnast said.
The 26th European Championships in Trampoline, Tumbling and Double Mini-Trampoline has opened in Baku today. More than 400 gymnasts from 25 countries are expected to join the Championships. In the first two days of the competitions, qualifications for all types of events both among junior and senior gymnasts as well as finals among teams will be held, on the last day, medalists will be known in all four types of the gymnastics events.
