Georgian President Giorgi Margvelashvili is urging the country's citizens to be active in the second round of the parliamentary elections, the President’s spokesperson Eka Mishveladze said.
"The president hopes that the second round of elections will be held transparently and without any errors, which have occurred in several districts during the first round," she noted.
"Accordingly, it is important to publish all the official data, including the number of canceled ballots, in order to provide all the information for the analysis of the electoral process," Sputnik-Georgia cited Mishveladze as saying.
The parliamentary elections were held in Georgia on October 8. Due to the fact that none of the candidates was able to gain more than 50% of the votes in 50 single-member districts, a second round will be held there. Presumably, it will be held on October 30.
