Margvelashvili introduces new head of National Bank of Georgia

A former senior economist at the Middle East and Central Asia department of the International Monetary Fund, Koba Gvenetadze, may take the post of the chairman of the National Bank Council, Georgian President Giorgi Margvelashvili announced today.

If the parliament approves the candidacy of Gvenetadze, he will replace the President of the National Bank Giorgi Kadagidze in the National Bank Council, whose mandate expires on February 25th, Sputnik-Georgia reports.
