The 'Zhara-2018' festival in Baku became a model example of cooperation in the humanitarian sphere, the Russian Foreign Ministry's spokesperson Maria Zakharova said at the briefing, answering the question from a correspondent of Vestnik Kavkaza.
"'Zhara-2018' is a perfect example of the real cooperation in the humanitarian sphere. It is an international festival, an international program, an international event that unites us and not divide us, which shows that our features should not cause differences and especially should not emphasize these differences, which would conduct some kind of watershed between us," she said.
"Our differences can unite us. And we can use traditions, customs and our history just for the purpose of such unification. It seems to me that what I saw just confirms it," the diplomat noted.
Maria Zakharova said that she was happy to visit the festival, where she was officially invited, and admitted that she did not even imagine the scope of this event.
The International Musical Festival 'Heat-2018' (Zhara) was held in Baku at the beautiful Sea Breeze resort on the coast of the Caspian Sea on July 26-29.
