The recent fake publication in The Guardian about the secret million-dollar payments to Azerbaijan by Rosoboronexport indicates that the West is activating the information pressure on Russia and its allies within the current anti-Russian campaign, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said today, answering the question of Vestnik Kavkaza about the significance of this fake news in a series of other publications of the Western media directed against Russia.
"All this means there is very strong information pressure in the information sphere in several directions," she stressed.
Maria Zakharova reminded that simultaneously with the information attacks on the states themselves, there is an attack on the Russian journalists in the West. ”We are taking about actual squeezing out of the information space, which has various forms of implementation - non-accreditation, inadmissibility, threats of closing or stopping broadcasting, dropping out of cable networks and satellite networks, and so on," the Foreign Ministry official said.
