Mass media: Iranian women not let in to see Iran-US volleyball match

Security officials haven't let Iranian women in to see a men's volleyball match. Neither Iranian female onlookers nor journalists were allowed to be at the game, the Guardian reports.

The government of Iran has recently weakened control over women, visiting sporting events. However, the control has been tightened again under the pressure of powerful religious groups, Interfax reports.
