Iran does not seek to become a partner of the West after signing the agreement on Tehran's nuclear program, and is interested only in the role of the leading regional power, US Senator John McCain stated today speaking at the Munich Security Conference.
"The agreement has just been reached, and Iran has strengthened its activity, tested its nuclear power, all of this is not to become a partner of the West, but in order to become the dominant regional power to counter Western influence in the Middle East," RIA Novosti quoted McCain as saying.
