President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has filed a lawsuit with the help lawyers against the leader of the main opposition Republican People's Party (CHP) Kemal Kilicdaroglu. He intends to receive about $33,000 (100,000 Turkish liras) from Kılıçdaroğlu for being public insulted by the head of the CHP, Zaman reports.
The General Prosecutor's Office in Ankara has already started an investigation. Its subject is Kılıçdaroğlu's speech at the NPF General Congress this weekend. He called President Erdogan, "a parody of a dictator," referring to the president's recent decisions, including the detention of scholars who criticized the actions of Ankara and the security forces in the Kurdish regions of the country, Tass reports.
