A group of armed men have seized hostages in a shopping center in Baghdad, the BBC reports. Seven people have been killed as a result of the incident, France-Presse reports.
It is reported that the militants blew up a car in al-Jadida and then started shooting and rushed into the mall where they seized hostages. The police fear that the militants may have suicide belts. According to Reuters, 27 people are injured, RIA Novosti reports.
