The first lady of Azerbaijan, the president of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, a goodwill ambassador of ISESCO, Mehriban Aliyeva, met with the Director General of ISESCO Abdulaziz Othman Altwaijri and the organization's goodwill ambassadors today.
Mehriban Aliyeva stressed the particular importance of the fact that the 12th session of the General Conference of ISESCO is being held in Baku for the country and for the entire Islamic world.
Stressing that representatives of all religions and cultures are living in Azerbaijan in friendship and peace, she noted that Azerbaijan is hosting important events aimed at strengthening dialogue among cultures, religions and civilizations.
The first lady said that the Heydar Aliyev Foundation is carrying out numerous events across the world with the aim of promoting Azerbaijan's history, culture and traditions.
Aliyeva said it was essential that ISESCO goodwill ambassadors increase efforts to strengthen dialogue among cultures, religions and civilizations.
Altwaijri praised the role of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and first lady Mehriban Aliyeva in elevating the relations between the country and the organization to an excellent level.
