In the centre of Tbilisi, Melikishvili Avenue was reopened. It was closed for reconstruction on June 17, 2022, the city hall message reads.
During the renovation work, the underground communications were replaced - water supply systems, gas pipes, and wastewater. The project also provides for the renewal of the power line and the installation of LED lighting.
In addition, it is planned to install new bus stops, create separate lines for public transport and bike paths, as well as adapt the avenue for people with disabilities.
