Militants have abducted 14 Iranian security personnel near the Pakistan border, Iranian media reported.
The reports cited an unnamed but informed source as saying two of abducted are members of the powerful Revolutionary Guard's intelligence department. The rest include seven members of the Basij, a volunteer wing of the Guard, as well as regular Iranian border guards.
"These 14 people were kidnapped around 4 or 5 a.m. in Lulakdan border area," IRNA cited the unnamed official as saying.
The area has seen occasional clashes between Iranian forces and Baluch separatists, as well as drug traffickers.
