Missing hikers found at Armenia’s Geghama mountain range

Two people who had gone missing yesterday in the Geghama mountain range of Armenia have been found.

At 21:27 local time, the 911 emergency hotline was reported that two people had gone toward Mount Azdahak, but it had become impossible to get in touch with them for a long time.

A rescue team and two special rescue squads left for the scene. Today, at about 9:30am, a helicopter was also deployed to assist with the search.

As of 9:40am, they've contacted the missing people. Sometime thereafter, the Ministry of Emergency Situations said that the hikers had been found and helicoptered to Yerevan, News.am reported.
