The region's first mobile ethnographic center, based at the Karachayevo-Cherkessia republic children's library, was opened today in Cherkessk.
According to the press service of the republic's leadership, the center was built at the expense of presidential grants amounting to 1 million rubles.
The ethnographic center is decorated with dolls in national costumes, objects of everyday life of the peoples living in the republic, folk crafts that show the distinctive national features of the cultures, traditions and ways of life of the peoples of Karachai-Cherkessia, UGA reports.
