A monument to the legendary Dagestani wrestler - five-time world champion Ali Aliyev will be installed in Makhachkala to the athlete’s 80th anniversary.
The monument is an exact copy of the sculptural composition, established in 2011 at the headquarters of FILA, located in the castle of Corzieu-sur-Veuve (Switzerland).
The monument will be installed at the building of the sports department of the republic on November 29 this year. The author of the composition, which depicts the famous cross-shaped grip of Ali Aliyev, is Ali Magomedov, a sculptor from Dagestan, Caucasus Today reports.
