As Egyptian resorts become more and more popular among Russians, there is a need to increase the number of weekly flights between the two countries, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov said today.
Despite the fact that 100 flights a week are operated between Russia and Egypt now, statistics show a growing demand from Russian tourists to visit Egyptian resorts. If necessary, the countries are ready to increase the number of flights, Manturov said following the Russian-Egyptian intergovernmental commission's meeting in Cairo, RIA Novosti reports.
Such a decision would be mutually beneficial, but the possible number of additional flights had not been discussed yet, Manturov said.
