A meeting of the Deputy Foreign Minister of Russia, the president's special representative for the Middle East and Africa, Mikhail Bogdanov, and the Syrian Ambassador to Moscow, Riyad Haddad, took place today,at which the parties discussed the settlement of the Syrian crisis.
As part of the conversation, the Russian Deputy Foreign Minister stressed the need to organize ''stable'' talks in Geneva between Damascus and the CAP opposition.
The parties also discussed the situation in Syria and around it, with emphasis on the need to organize ''stable'' talks between the Syrian government and the opposition in Geneva under the auspices of the UN in accordance with the provisions of resolution 2254 of the UN Security Council, RIA Novosti reports.
