Moscow announces preparations for ‘3+3’ South Caucasus platform 2nd meeting

The second meeting of the "3+3" regional consulting platform is currently being prepared, Director of the Fourth Department of the CIS Countries of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Denis Gonchar said.

"At this moment the second session of the 3+3 regional consultative platform is being prepared. The venue and date of the meeting will be announced," RIA Novosti cited him as saying.

In addition, Gonchar reminded that the “doors” of this platform remain open for Georgia.

According to him, Moscow considers it right to actively use “3+3” to develop cooperation among the countries of the South Caucasus and their neighbors,

The deputy foreign ministers of Armenia, Russia, Turkey, and Azerbaijan, as well as the director general of the Iranian foreign ministry had co-chaired the first meeting of this "3+3" platform that was held in December 2021 in Moscow.
