Today Moscow's Lotte Hotel hosted the second day of the 7th international conference titled 'Rail transportation of mining and metallurgical cargoes'.
For the seventh time the International Business Forum has been a major business platform for discussions on the acute problems of the sector, for meetings and talks, for interviews with the leading Russian and foreign media outlets.
The conference brought together more than 150 delegates and speakers from Russia, Finland, Azerbaijan, Norway, Latvia, Germany, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Belarus and Poland.
Many urgent issues were discussed at the business forum. The topics included the discussion of the impact of the recent decision by the EU to impose sanctions on Russia's metallurgists, a change of market strategy by leading companies and new destinations of supplies.
If the metallurgical enterprises are going through difficult times, the transport and logistics companies, on the contrary, are expanding their capabilities. The innovative technologies to supply mining and metallurgical cargoes to the EU, export, import and transit operations from Europe and Russia to Iran, which economy has begun to recover from international sanctions, as well as the international transport corridor 'North - South' were also discussed at the conference in Moscow.
In addition, important industry topics were discussed: new supply technologies, new approaches to reduce transportation costs within the country and for export routes.
