Moscow investigates video of Quran burning near lake

Moscow police have opened a criminal case over a video which was posted online, where a man burnt a copy of  the Quran.

"Currently, a criminal case has been opened on the fact of the incident," the police said in a statement, according to local media.

Complex search operations are underway to clarify all the circumstances of the event and to identify and arrest the suspect, it added.

According to the police, the video is most likely recorded in the Eastern District of Moscow near the Beloe lake.
