According to the press service of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims (DUM) of the Russian Federation, the best reciter of the Koran has become Musa Motamed from Iran. It was the 16th competition of Quran recitation. The event took place in Moscow at Crocus City Hall.
Second place was won by Zaid Abdullatif Abdullah Al-Sanaani from Yemen, and third place was won by Omari Abdallah Salim from Tanzania. The competition gathered the best experts on Islamic texts from 44 countries, including Germany, Britain and the United States, as well as Belgium, Bulgaria, Slovenia, Serbia and Canada.
16-year-old Bilal Abdulkhalikov from Dagestan was the youngest participant in the competition. Unfortunately, this time he didn't manage to reach the final, Tass reports.
