Muslims around the world to celebrate Night of Decree

Muslims all over the world will spend the night from 11 to 12 June in prayer. The Night of Decree or Laylat Al Qadr is celebrated every year at the end of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan.

Official festive events timed to Laylat Al Qadr are held on the 27th night of Ramadan, but the exact date of this holiday changes every year. This year it is celebrated on the sunset on June 11th and after the Iftar (raging).

According to the Qur’an, during the night of destiny, heaven’s gates are destined to open for the forgiveness of all sins that Muslims committed previously: “The night of decree is better than a thousand months, the angels and the Spirit descend therein by permission of their Lord for every matter. Peace it is until the emergence of dawn.”

Worshippers stay awake until dawn, reading from the Qur’an, praising God, and performing voluntary prayers, as the prophet used to spend it in worship, Morocco world news reports.

Laylat Al Qadr is an opportunity for Muslim believers to put aside mundane indulgences and concerns and instead indulge their way to spiritual meditation and approach God through not only prayer but also good deeds, which are also a form of worship.

In addition, this night Muslims must comply with a number of restrictions. In particular, it is necessary to refuse the use of any alcoholic beverages, also it is impossible to celebrate Laylat Al Qadr in entertaining establishments - it is better to spend the night at home or in a mosque. Also, it is better to refrain from watching entertainment programs and films, stay in silence and think about the eternal, Sputnik Kazakhstan reports
