North Atlantic Treaty Organization said about its support of the the United States' decision to withdraw from the Intermediate-range Nuclear Forces (INF) treaty.
The U.S. is withdrawing from the 1987 INF Treaty today.
"The United States decision to withdraw from the Treaty, a decision fully supported by NATO Allies, is now taking effect," the statement published today says.
At the same time, the allies are firmly committed to the preservation of effective international arms control, disarmament and non-proliferation. "We will continue to uphold, support, and further strengthen arms control, disarmament, and non-proliferation, as a key element of Euro-Atlantic security," the statement reads.
