NATO believes Russia constitutes threat

NATO believes that Russia’s aggressive actions constitute a threat to Euro-Atlantic security, according to the statement by NATO member states’ Foreign Minister, published Tuesday.

"Russia’s aggressive actions constitute a threat to Euro-Atlantic security; terrorism in all its forms and manifestations remains a persistent threat to us all. Assertive and authoritarian powers, and non-state actors, challenge the rules-based international order, including through hybrid and cyber threats, the malicious use of new technologies, as well as other asymmetric threats.  The Covid-19 pandemic once again illustrates that we face constantly evolving challenges," the statement reads.

According to the statement, the transatlantic partnership remains the cornerstone of collective defence.

It was also noted that the upcoming NATO Summit will open a new chapter in transatlantic relations and set the direction for the future of our Alliance to 2030 and beyond.
