On Thursday, July 21, the famous Georgian singer Nani Bregvadze turned 86 years old.
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth of the country sent its congratulations on this occasion to the People's Artist of Georgia, Sputnik Georgia reports.
"The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth of Georgia congratulates Mrs. Nani on her birthday and wishes her longevity and active creative years", the ministry's congratulatory letter says.
Nani Bregvadze was born in a musical family in Tbilisi in 1938, from the age of six she sang Russian romances and songs. She began her stage career in 1956, and in 1961 she graduated from the Vano Sarajishvili Tbilisi State Conservatoire.
