Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev arrived in Washington. During the Kazakh leader's visit, he will meet with US President Donald Trump and the representatives of political and business circles.
The Presidents are set to sign a joint statement on intensifying bilateral relations, Kazakh presidential press secretary Aidos Ukibai said yesterday.
"A special focus will be on further development of the bilateral political, trade and economic cooperation, attraction of US investment into the Kazakh economy," the Kazinform news agency cited Ukibai as saying.
"In addition, the Kazakh President will take part in the UN Security Council meeting," Nazarbayev's press service said.
On 18 January, the Security Council will be briefed on the topic of non-proliferation of weapons of mass destruction: confidence building measures. In January 2018, Kazakhstan takes over the chairmanship of the United Nation Security Council.
