Nazarbayev meets with President of Afghanistan

Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev met with Afghan President Mohammad Ghani, who is on an official visit to Astana.

The two leaders discussed issues of trade-economic, transit and transport, agricultural, cultural and humanitarian cooperation. The most relevant aspects of the international agenda and regional security were also discussed.

"Our country needs a prosperous Afghanistan, with which we want to establish close relations," Interfax cited the President of Kazakhstan as saying.
