Talks between Russian presidential aide Vladislav Surkov and US Assistant Secretary of State Victoria Nulland have come to an end, spokesman for the Russian Foreign Ministry in Kaliningrad Pavel Mamontov said.
Immediately after that "Nuland traveled to the border region with Lithuania. Today she will leave the territory of the Russian Federation."
According to State Department spokesman John Kirby, the talks were a continuation of the December meeting of Russian President Vladimir Putin and US Secretary of State John Kerry. Its purpose was to discuss the situation in Ukraine and the full implementation of the Minsk Agreements, Kirby's message informs. He described the meeting as the last part of an ongoing effort by the US and Russia for the full implementation of the Minsk Agreement in close coordination with other members of the Normandy Quartet, RBC reports.
