The agreement on the Iranian nuclear program will open the way for Iran to build an atomic bomb, Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told the American Jewish community in a live webcast in Washington.
"The nuclear deal with Iran does not block Iran’s path to the bomb, it paves Iran’s path to the bomb," he said. "This is a very dangerous deal, and it threatens all of us," he believes.
Netanyahu appealed to American Jews with a call "to oppose the dangerous deal." "The days when the Jewish people could not or would not speak up for themselves, those days are over," he said, adding that Israel wants peace, not war.
Obama, in his turn, yesterday also held a private meeting with leaders of the local Jewish community, he tried to enlist their support in the promotion of the nuclear deal, TASS reports.
