Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will hold talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
The Israeli newspaper Jerusalem Post reports that the Chief of the General Staff of the Israeli Defense Forces, Gadi Eizenkot, and the Chief of Military Intelligence of Israel, Major General Herzl Levi, will fly to Moscow together with the prime minister.
The publication writes that the visit by the military officials indicates that the transfer of arms to Syria and the deployment of Russian troops in the region will be discussed.
Last week the media reported that Netanyahu and Putin will discuss the presence of Russian experts in the region. Russian presidential aide Yuri Ushakov also said that the two leaders will hold "a frank conversation," Gazeta.ru reports.
