The Netherlands spoke against conduct of electoral events by Turkish ministers in the country, the Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands, Bert Koenders, said.
"I think it is undesirable that ministers from Turkey campaign in the Netherlands and we have made it clear also to the Turkish authorities," he said.
Koenders noted that they have the possibility of campaign meetings also in the Netherlands, but he doesn't think it is undesirable.
The German town of Gaggenau withdrew permission for a meeting where Turkish minister Bekir Bozdag had been due to speak. Bozdag canceled a meeting with his German counterpart and flew back to Turkey. In Ankara, the Turkish foreign ministry summoned the German ambassador for an explanation, ministry sources said.
