New CSTO Secretary General Khachaturov to assume his duties on May 2

Chief of the General Staff of Armenia’s Armed Forces Yuri Khachaturov has been appointed Secretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), acting Secretary General Valery Semerikov said.

“Khachaturov will assume his duties on May 2, 2017,” TASS cited him as saying.

Semerikov said that the issue was considered at the meeting of CSTO heads of states.
