An Orthodox church in honor of Prince Vladimir was opened today on the territory of the House of Government in Dagestan. The opening ceremony was attended by the head of the republic, Ramazan Abdullatipov, the Bishop of Makhachkala and Grozny, Barlaam, as well as the governmental leaders and members of the local congregation.
"Today we are restoring the truth. Once here was the great Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, which was demolished, and by opening a new church, today we have to pray for our sin,'’ Abdullatipov said.
