A renovated art gallery opened in Cherkessk with the 'Myths and Legends of the Caucasus' exhibition, in which more than six dozen works of Karachay-Cherkessian artists are present.
The opening ceremony was attended by the head of the republic Rashid Temrezov. "I want to congratulate the residents of Cherkessk and the entire republic on such a significant event in our cultural life – the opening of the renovated art gallery. The art gallery is located in a historic building of the late 19th-early 20th century in the center of Cherkessk, built as a merchant bank. I am glad that today artists of Karachay-Cherkessia have the opportunity to present their creative works in this beautiful and comfortable place," Interfax quotes him as saying.
