The Operational and Technical Agency, which will be responsible for the secret surveillance in Georgia, may be headed by Koba Kobidze. A relevant message is posted on the website of the State Security Service.
The candidate was selected by a special commission headed by Vakhtang Gomelauri. Its members have decided to appoint Kobidze as the head of the agency, who at the moment is a deputy head.
The commission has already presented the candidacy of Kobidze to the Prime Minister of Georgia, Georgi Kvirikashvili, for approval, Novosti-Georgia reports.
