The Baku Tourism Information Center proposes installing new road signs showing the direction of movement towards tourism sites.
The large number of appeals to the Baku Tourism Information Center proves the need to install new tourist signs. "The valid law on Road Traffic reflects only a certain part of the tourist road signs, which do not cover the real situation," abc.az cited the center as saying.
The Center has made the proposals for the development of tourism road signs to expand the promotion of tourism potential and improve the quality of services in the sphere of tourism. In particular, it was proposed to install signs near historical, cultural and religious sites, places of entertainment and sports.
"The proposals took into account the World Tourism Organization’s recommendations, as well as the experience of Russia and Belarus in this direction," the Ministry said in a statement.
