Nikol Pashinyan's wife: Armenia's sacrifices in war for Karabakh were in vain

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's wife Anna Hakobyan, while paying a visit to the United States, declared that Yerevan's sacrifices in order to keep the occupied territories of Azerbaijan are senseless. She made this statement in the interview with Voice of America about her Women for Peace initiative.

First of all, Hakobyan stressed that 'Women for Peace' call on to maintain the ceasefire not only the Azerbaijani side, but also the Armenian side of the conflict.

"This is necessary to prevent young soldiers on the border from dying, both from the Armenian and Azerbaijani sides. The only meaning of our initiative is to save lives of the soldiers, not sacrifice them in vain, because all the years of confrontation resulted in numerous casualties on both sides," she explained.

"There were thousands of victims, but they were in vain, because these victims didn’t bring us closer to resolving the conflict, not even an inch, if not the opposite, we were removed from the settlement, because we cannot find a solution to the conflict in the conditions of hatred," Anna Hakobyan noted.

After that, Nikol Pashinyan's wife informed that her team invited Azerbaijani women to join the initiative.
