Today is the ninth day of the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro. Athletes will compete for 22 medal sets in following competitions: boxing, cycling, athletics, shooting, diving, golf, gymnastics, sailing, fencing, weightlifting, tennis and wrestling. Russian women's national volleyball and handball teams will also participate in today's competitions.
The last set of medals in men's shooting will be awarded today
Olympic fencing tournament will end with men's team épée tournament. At 16:30 MSK Russian team will meet with Ukrainian team in the 1/4 finals.
Four sets of medals will be awarded in gymnastics.
Wrestling tournament also kicks off today. Masters of Greco-Roman style in the categories up to 59 and 75 kg will be the first to determine champions. Preliminary bouts will begin at 16:00 MSK.
Four sets of medals will be awarded in athletics, men's hundred-meter race final will begin at 04:25 MSK. Usain Bolt will participate in it.
In weightlifting, women will compete for medals in the category over 75 kg.
Olympic medals in golf will be awarded for the first time in men's tournament.
In sailing, medals will be awarded in windsurfers medal race.
Final boxing match in the category up to 49 kg will be also held today.
At 22:00 MSK diving finals in women's 3-m springboard will begin.
Final men's sprint cycling race will begin 23:04 MSK.
At 04:35 MSK Russia's volleyball team will compete against the hosts of the tournament - Brazil.
