Vladikavkaz said goodbye to the head of North Ossetia, Tamerlan Aguzarov, who died on February 19th.
Yesterday throughout the entire day thousands of residents carried flowers to the portrait of the late leader of the republic at the Government House. All around the perimeter of the building carnations were laid and candles were burning.
The funeral of Tamerlan Aguzarov was held this morning in St. George's Cathedral, from where men carried his coffin on their outstretched hands to Theatre Square, where there was a memorial service, attended by about 25 thousand people, including presidential envoy in the North Caucasian Federal District [North Caucasus Federal District] Sergey Malikov, Minister for the North Caucasus Lev Kuznetsov, the heads of other North Caucasus Federal District subjects, South Ossetia, as well as delegations from Abkhazia, Crimea and Sevastopol.
