The chairman of the expert council on health care of the Federation Council Committee on Social Policy, a member of the scientific expert council under the Chairman of the Federation Council, chief clinical pharmacologist of the Moscow Region Ministry of Health Vitaly Omelyanovsky, speaking with the correspondent of Vestnik Kavkaza, explained that the federal government and the Russian authorities are shaping their isolation policies based on analysis of isolation measures in different countries. "The fact that such measures have been introduced in Russia will slow down the spread of coronavirus," he stressed.
"But I think that our country has not yet reached the peak, and the coronavirus will continue to spread, the number of cases will increase. The only question is how fast. And the introduction of a self-isolation regime will certainly play an important role here, so that the COVID-19 outbreak speed was not the same as in Europe or the U.S.," the expert said.
