The number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Russia increased by 8,885 per day to 4,510,744, the federal operational headquarters for the fight against the new infection told reporters on Saturday, TASS reports.
In relative terms, the increase in the number of cases was 0.2%.
The lowest growth rates were recorded per day in the Republic of Tyva (0.01%), Magadan Region (0.02%), Jewish Autonomous Region (0.05%).
In particular, 749 coronavirus cases were detected per day in St. Petersburg, 586 - in the Moscow region, 328 - in the Nizhny Novgorod region, 244 - in the Rostov region, 212 - in the Voronezh region.
Currently, 282,842 people are continuing treatment in Russia.
The number of deaths due to coronavirus in Russia increased by 387 over the past day against 405 the day before and amounted to 97,404. The conditional mortality of the disease (the final one can be determined only after the end of the epidemic) remained at the level of 2.16%, the headquarters said.
In particular, 54 deaths were registered in Moscow, 32 - in St. Petersburg, 24 - in the Rostov region, and 17 - in the Moscow region.
