In the wake of rival Tony Ferguson being injured and his fourth scheduled meeting with Khabib Nurmagomedov being canceled, Nurmagomedov is keeping things classy.
Shortly after news broke that Ferguson will be forced to withdraw from the lightweight championship main event of UFC 223 on April 7 in Brooklyn, Nurmagomedov took to Instagram to wish Ferguson a speedy recovery and offer some stern advice.
"Just want to advise you, don’t talk too much anymore,” Nurmagomedov wrote. “Lot of thoughts on my head right now, but I don’t want to become like you. Hope this lesson will teach you to watch your mouth."
UFC president Dana White has announced that Nurmagomedov will now fight featherweight champion Max Holloway for the undisputed lightweight title in the new UFC 223 headliner, MMA reported.
