Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) welcomed the decision of the UN General Assembly on Jerusalem, the organization said in a message today.
The OIC noted that the vote in the UN General Assembly on Jerusalem was historic and once again proved that the majority of states recognize Jerusalem as part of Palestine.
The UN on Dec. 21 overwhelmingly adopted a resolution on Jerusalem, calling on the US to withdraw its recognition of the city as Israel's capital. A total of 128 members voted in favor of the resolution, nine countries voted against and 35 others abstained.
