Oksana Pushkina: Russia and Azerbaijan have all necessary conditions for growth of female entrepreneurship

Russia and Azerbaijan can exchange experiences in the field of women's financial security, Oksana Pushkina, State Duma deputy, deputy chairman of the Duma Committee on Family, Women and Children, said in an interview with Vestnik Kavkaza.

"Problems of the female world are the same everywhere, one of the main of them is single mothers. People divorce, and if it happens it's important to ensure that woman is financially and economically protected. Russia has a number of programs that promote involvement of women in business," she said.

"As part of these programs, we support a lot of interesting startups. In particular, I'm talking about the “Mother-Entrepreneur” program. It's five-day contest held across regions, and three winners are selected in its final stage. In addition to cash prizes, they are provided with curator, accountant and legal support for a year. Many single mothers have incredible success in business sphere," she noted.

"In this sense, we propose to unite two worlds - Azerbaijani and Russian - to help single mothers who try to establish their own business and create something impressive together. We want to share our successes and business ideas, find out how business women live. As you know, mainly women are responsible for small and medium businesses all over the world," Oksana Pushkina concluded.
