Oktay Asadov becomes head of Azerbaijani parliament

Oktay Asadov was re-elected the speaker of Azerbaijan’s parliament of the fifth convocation today.

Asadov is also a member of the Council of the Yeni Azerbaijan party. He was a member of Azerbaijan’s parliament of the second convocation.

He served as the speaker of the parliament from December 2, 2005. Asadov is also the head of a delegation to the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly.
