On Monday, January 3, the residents of Russia will see the first New Year's meteoric shower. This is stated in a message posted on the website of the Moscow Planetarium.
According to astronomers, one will be able to see up to 120 "shooting stars" per hour due to the Quadrantids meteor shower .
The planetarium noted that its peak would occur on January 3 from 0:00 to dawn.
The message also emphasized that the meteor shower could be seen from almost anywhere in Russia.
